Peminat Snmptn Universitas Sriwijaya 2013 Meningkat Lebih Dari 200% Sampai dengan tanggal 10 Maret 2013, jumlah pendaftar SNMPTN 2013 yang memilih Universitas Sriwijaya tercatat sebanyak 41.279 siswa, dan telah difinalisasi sebanyak 40.405 siswa, baik untuk pilihan 1 maupun pilihan 2. Jumlah ini meningkat lebih dari dua kali lipat dibandingkan dengan pendaftar SNMPTN Jalur Undangan tahun 2012 yang lalu. Dari sejumlah 40.405 siswa tersebut, yang telah direkomendasi oleh Kepala Sekolah ada 40.181 siswa. Proses finalisasi dan rekomendasi pendaftar SNMPTN telah diperpanjang hingga tanggal 11 Maret 2013 pukul 22.00. Pada tahun 2013, sejumlah 2.487 siswa mendaftarkanBeasiswa Bidik Misi melalui jalur SNMPTN ini. Pada tahun akademik 2012/2013 Universitas Sriwijaya memberikan beasiswa Bidik Misi kepada 600 mahasiwa baru. Total penerima beasiswa Bidik Misi Universitas Sriwijaya hingga tahun akademik 2012/2013 adalah 1.580 mahasiswa. Pembantu Rektor I Universitas Sriwijaya, Dr. Ir. Anis Saggaff, MSCE menginformasikan kepada Redaksi bahwa pendaftar SNMPTN 2013 ke Universitas Sriwijaya berasal dari seluruh provinsi di Indonesia kecuali Provinsi Gorontalo dan Papua Barat. Pendaftar dari provinsi di ujung paling Barat Indonesia, yaitu Nangro Aceh Darussalam ada 71 siswa, dan dari Provinsi Papua ada 7 siswa. Lebih lanjut, Pembantu Rektor I mengatakan bahwa pendaftar terbanyak berasal dari Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, yaitu sebanyak 25.764 siswa (64,12%), dari Lampung sebanyak 3.895 siswa (9,69%), dan dariJambi sebanyak 2.382 (5,953%). Selanjutnya, pendaftar dari Provinsi Bengkulusebanyak 1.680 siswa (4,185), dan dari Provinsi Sumatera Barat sebanyak 1.055 siswa (2,63%). Selebihnya pendaftar dari daerah lainnya. Program Studi Manajemen masih menjadi program studi favorit pendaftar. Pada SNMPTN 2013, 20 program studi yang jumlah pendaftarnya paling banyak adalah Program Studi Manajemen, Program StudiAkuntansi, Program Studi Teknik Pertambangan, Program StudiIlmu Kesehatan Masyarakat, Pendidikan Dokter, Program StudiFarmasi, PGSD, Program Studi Ilmu Hukum, Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan, Program StudiTeknik Informatika, Program StudiSistem Komputer, Program StudiAdministrasi Negara, Program StudiTeknik Sipil, Program StudiAgribisnis, Program StudiSistem Informasi, Program StudiPendidikan Biologi, Program StudiTeknik Mesin, Program StudiSosiologi, Pendidikan Kedokteran Gigi, dan Program StudiPendidikan Bahasa Inggris.
